Office designs have long shown to impact on our state of minds, affecting our emotions and behaviour at work. The play of colours in office design is one of the most universal ways to elicit emotional responses although this is also dependent on factors such as culture and personal preferences.
Colours can be used for calming emotions; these colours can be suited for office corners or pantries where people gather. Some colours like green emulates nature and helps to balance our emotions; hence green is usually injected in forms of planters or painted on walls in the general office. Whereas bright colours like orange and red are representative of stronger emotions like energy and power and should be used as smaller accents, to complement the overall mood of the space.
